Windy City Keeps Trump’s Luxury Hotel Grounded Dec 15
Best Rate Gurantee Hotels

Donald Trump just can’t catch a break these days! Try as he might to install a spire on the top of his 92-story downtown Chicago luxury hotel, high winds, of up to 40 mph on Sunday have prevented him from reaching his goals yet again.

The winds would have made it difficult for the ironworkers to align steel sections of the spire, bolting them into place as they are hanging from the helicopter. Luckily, it was them who got to make the call on whether they proceed with work, not Mr. Trump.

Trump International Hotel and Tower, a mix of luxury hotel suites and condo units, is already a symbol of utmost luxury. With the spire, it will be a whopping 1,361 feet tall. It is the tallest structure in America since the 1974 completion of the Sears Tower.

No word yet as to when Trump and friends are going to try again. But you can bet your scarf that skyline watchers will be in suspense until the new date is named.

Spire or no spire, this hotel is still one of Chicago’s best. Check it out if you want to feel like you own the world for a weekend. It won’t disappoint.
